Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority

The Authority (formerly known as the Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority) is the sole body responsible for regulation of gaming and liquor matters at The Star casino, encompassing both licensing and enforcement functions. Information regarding casino regulatory matters can be accessed via the Casino Regulation link at the left.

The Authority also has significant licensing and quasi-judicial functions under the Liquor Act 2007, Gaming Machines Act 2001, Registered Clubs Act 1976 and related legislation.

The full list of the Authority’s functions is contained in the Authority’s Regulatory Delegations Manual 

The current Authority members are:
